Hi Gang: Whenever news breaks it can be reported ...distorted...or even worse...omitted or ignored.
It all depends on who is doing the reporting.
If it's reported it should be truthful ,factual and unbiased.
If it's distorted it's either untrue, unfactual or biased[spinning the story].
But,to me, the greatest reporting sin is that of omission...
the story that never gets told due to several things... sloppy reporting...
lazy reporting[too lazy to check out the facts and verify them...]
or refusing to find a second source to make sure that the facts are really true] .
Do you believe that your news is reported...distorted or omitted ???
And how do you feel about stories that are built around "unnamed sources"???
I sometimes question whether these "unnamed sources" actually exist... or are just the product of the imagination of some reporter who has a particular axe to grind.
What say you ??? hippolips
P.S. I think it was Ronald Reagan who said.."Trust...but verify"...
but of course, if you didn"t trust Reagan ...you wouldn't trust what he verified....
