It's a mistake for a politician's biography to have 'life' in the title: 'A Political Life', 'A Life in Politics' 'An American Life' because of the Freudian slip which has people reading 'life' as 'lie' (or am I the only one?)

Heeheeheee ! I sold my autographed copy of his book for a pittance a couple years after getting it. Somehow I doubt Palin-Fey's book will be much better.
'Elsewhere in this volume she talks about creationism, saying she “didn’t believe in the theory that human beings — thinking, loving beings — originated from fish that sprouted legs and crawled out of the sea” or from “monkeys who eventually swung down from the trees.”'Memoir Is Palin’s Payback to McCain Campaign
'...perhaps the most embarrassing gaffe so far is her mis-attributed quote to UCLA basketball legend John Wooden.
As the epigram to Chapter Three, "Drill, Baby, Drill," Palin assigns the following remarks to the Hall of Fame hoops coach:
Our land is everything to us... I will tell you one of the things we remember on our land. We remember our grandfathers paid for it--with their lives.
Only the quote wasn't by John Wooden. It was written by a Native American activist named John Wooden Legs in an essay entitled "Back on the War Ponies," which appeared in a left-wing anthology, We Are the People: Voices from the Other Side of American History, edited by Nathaniel May, Clint Willis, and James W. Loewen.
Here's the full quote:
Our land is everything to us. It is the only place in the world where Cheyennes talk the Cheyenne language to each other. It is the only place where Cheyennes remember the same things together. I will tell you one of the things we remember on our land. We remember our grandfathers paid for it--with their life. My people and the Sioux defeated General Custer at the Little Big Horn.

Now that one is priceless!
If you read the AP fact checker list, you will discover that the material is either boring or actually confirms that Palin told the truth. They should fire the whole bunch and pay you six salaries, NNN.

The '11 fact-checkers' hoo-ha seems to have started when someone noticed this - 'AP writers Matt Apuzzo, Sharon Theimer, Tom Raum, Rita Beamish, Beth Fouhy, H. Josef Hebert, Justin D. Pritchard, Garance Burke, Dan Joling and Lewis Shaine contributed to this report.'Palin's book goes rogue on some facts
I guess it was more a case of splitting up the book to read it quickly, than a nefarious commie plot.
More stuff the fact-checkers missed (what were they doing?). It's a reasonable idea, if you're under attack for not being well-read, to include quotes by Plato and Aristotle in your book. However, you really should spend five minutes checking that they actually are quotes by those guys...
