Kevin Rudd greeted jubilant supporters Saturday night, as he promised changes in environmental, education and workplace policies as Australia's new prime minister. - CNN
One of Rudd's campaign promises was to withdraw Australia's troops from Iraq. The Iraq war is hugely unpopular in Australia, but the outgoing PM was a strong supporter of bush and his war. However, at this time, it is not known if the man will even hold on to his seat in Parliament.
But not to worry, folks. Macedonia still has its 35 troops in Iraq, bought and paid for by a few dozen fully-armored HumVees.

We're one step ahead of them! The new party that took charge of the United States Congress in January made this a part of its election campaign claims in 2006. I wonder if the Australians will act faster?
