The question is, why is this stuff in the news? It's not like he's killed someone or is someone famous, that the world hangs on their every public act. This sounds like personal stuff, and not very unusual, at that. I've heard many stories like this one, just never in the news before. The kid is obviously suffering from some psychological issues, and needs to be admitted somewhere for treatment.

Killing animals is the first sign of a serial killer. There is no time for any of that affection ate love right now. This kid could be the next Jeffrey Dahmer or Ted Bundy. This kid needs to be heavily sedated and institutionalized. He displays all the signs of being a threat to society especially his family. If that was my brother I would sleep with one eye open.
I don't understand why he's not locked up with the assault charges pending. Myself as a judge I would charge him as an adult the very next time he broke the law just to put him away. I know he's only 13, but people with that kind of potential of violence should be eliminated from society. If you know what I mean. Either locked away for life or the needle. I'm not trying to have people like that around my neighborhood eventually killing me or kids.
Seriously though, the state never takes action until this kid seriously injures or kills somebody, thats how it works.

lol I never understood that concept. Nor will I ever. It reminds me of the 17 year-old who went into a liquor store and tried to buy a bottle of booze. When asked for his I.D., he presented it. When told that they couldn't sell to him cuz he was under 21, he stated simply, "Just charge me as an adult!"

Valor D, my friend Teenagers aren't stupid. They know darn well what they're getting themselves into. The age of consent has always been a question in law. Personally I feel Once you get shaky and get that dry mouth feeling. You know what I'm talking about. You absolutely know what you're getting into.
You know exactly what you're up to once you turn 13. At least. You're play the law to be stupid.
Believe me when I say since the age of 14 I've lied my butt off to cops and to judges to get away with things.
Teenagers get away with too much, they think the law is a joke. Thats why they do what they do.
I visit the Philippines, my native place and they would shoot you for nothing the cops would. It teaches people to Value their life. I experience things that have been horrible.
Personally I wouldn't be saddended if that piece of garbage got taught a harsh lesson. It would show these teenaged criminals a tough lesson. Cut his hand off.

Ron, to be such a felon yourself, you sure are hard on the rest of them. This kid has a mental condition and needs some sort of therapy, and then sentenced, but keep his hands.
