I'm just being curious, here... maybe it's all just a bunch of perfectly innocent coincidences that he keeps making the sign of the devil everywhere he goes...or, maybe not. But, then just what is it he thinks he's doing? Notice he's even got his wife, Laura, doing it as well?

It shows a montage of W and Laura making some kind of symbolic gesture consisting of a closed fist with extended index and little fingers. It might be some "Texas" thing, but I believe that the UT Longhorns make their team symbol using the little finger and thumb (or so I was once advised by an actual Longhorn ).

If I remember my Eastern European finger signals correctly (not to be confused with Scalia's "Sicilian gesture"), the extended index/little finger gesture is used to ward off evil. To get the full effect, one must point the fingers at the evil person or object, wiggle the fingers, and say certain words in Magyar, Rumanian, Rom, or Old Slavonic. (In Macedonian, the words are Shaddup you mout n staj waj da zelnik .)

Actually, the image in the lower right shows Bush casting a shadow that is clearly a cartoon devil. This is a photoshopped hoax. Who knows what gestures they were really making to the press?

You'de think that someone would have clued them in by now, what that symbol means. That is, if they don't already know (which I'm pretty sure they must). I'm very surprised by the replies, that more people here do not know this, as I thought that it was common knowledge.
It symbolizes the devil's horns, made with the pinky and index fingers, while the thumb crosses over the middle and ring finger. It's not to be confused with the hand gesture for Love, which is close to being the same, except in the Love gesture, the thumb is extended out and up.
Professor, I think that a great deal of evil is done in plain sight with big smiles. So long as it can be explained and rationalized, they have nothing to worry about (kind of like this War). So, maybe it is the symbol for some Football team also, or maybe it's just how they wave hello in the region of Texas where George W. is from. I don't buy it, but it is plausible. Plausible Deniability can be a very effective political tool.

Pay attention to the signs around you. Often times they're very subtle, and can be easily missed if you're not watching. Even the most obvious of signs go unseen by those with their eyes shut!
I've cut the image down to a smaller size, so it shouldn't stretch the screen, now.
I want people to see what it is we're talking about. Let them decide for themselves. See if it's reasonable to assume whether or not there's something awfully strange about what we're seeing...

Well, Chavez did say that the podium smelled like brimstone, just before he had to rush off to a meeting of the Axis of Evil. It was their annual meeting, election of officers, annual awards, etc. (Gadhafi got Best Dresed Dictator for the 25th straight year. They really ought to retire this award; everybody knows that he's going to win again.) They always put out a good spread. This one had Cacerola De Carne Bayamo, Kimchi, and Kabab Koobideh. Gadhafi made a really nice Lamb Couscous. Fidel, unable to attend, still sent some Maduros. That was nice of him. Putin made Borshch, but everybody passed on that.

The Texas Longhorns symbol. Yeah I think the NCAA should make them change their mascot to something else. If the University of Illinois has to dump their Indian mascot, then Texas should have to change their mascot too. Too many obscene gestures being made from it

That one in the lower right-hand corner is definitely photo-shopped. Some of the others might be, too. However, I agree that the majority are attributable to the Texas Longhorns.

We have received E mail from people claiming that the signal is sign language for 'I love you'. This is only true in the case of the thumb being extended outward (see here). As you can see from the Bush family photos, in no instance is the thumb extended outward.
In 1972 I played in a sort of intercollegiate band, where in one number there was a 'roll call' of college names à la Mousketeers. Since one of the members represented University of Texas, the Longhorn sign came up frequently and we all mimicked it. I was chastised by my bandmate for using my index finger instead of thumb -- which initially seems more natural. But then 35 years ago sign language was not yet a mainstream phenomenon. Could the Longhorns' sign have changed over the intervening years due to the above ambiguity with sign language? (...or was I just misinformed as usual )

And the really big bare spot in the middle? That's his nose." So you sorta see what they're saying, so you say, "Well where's his mouth?" And they say, "It's under his beard." And you say, "Nobody's nose is that big," and they say, "Well it's also part of his cheek." And finally you say, "Well who put it there?" and they say "Well Jesus, of course," so you say, "Why?" And they say, "As a sign. And you say, "A sign of what?" and they say, "That's a mystery." And you say "Well if it's a mystery then it's not a sign." And they say, "Well, it's a sign we should repent of our sins," and you say, "But we knew that already," and they say, "You have an answer for everything, don't you?" and you say, "No, I'm the one with all the questions, and by the way, why would Jesus want to be represented by a moldy patch anyway? Couldn't he find a better medium?" and they say "We don't believe in that Spiritualism stuff, " and slam the door?
Well, what I wonder is why do people see Jesus or Mary and some people see Satan?

If you want to check the moldy patch behind the water tank to see if it is really Jesus picture and not some imposter, you can obtain, for a small sum, An actual color photograph of Jesus for comparison and authentication.
A bunch of the "satanic hand signs" by non-Texan celebrities posted on that site look to me like lazy renditions of
a. The "I love you" sign or b. The "Rock and roll" sign or c. The "hang loose" sign or d. Just somebody who happens to be gesturing or waving, without meaning, and got their photo taken mid-gesture in what probably was a split-second move
In several photos the thumb is out or on it's way out, and in others, the hand appears to be in mid-movement.
I don't think there's any reason for alarm. Well, except for the ones of Spiderman and Stuart Little. Spidey and the evil little mouse are obviously Satanic members of the Illuminati.
