Parents Fight Over Which Gang Toddler Should JoinCOMMERCE CITY, Colo. -- A couple fighting about which gang their 4-year-old toddler should join caused a public disturbance that resulted in the father's arrest, Commerce City police said Thursday.
His girlfriend told police that they had been arguing about the upbringing of their son and which gang he should belong to. The teen mother, who is black, is a member of the Crips. Manzanares is Hispanic and belongs to the Westside Ballers gang, the woman said.
"They have different ideas on how the baby should be raised. Basically, she said they cannot agree on which gang the baby would 'claim,'" Sandoval said. - TheDenverChannel.com

Choosing the right gang for your child can make a huge difference in his or her life. It’s even more important than selecting the right pre-school. Friendships and connections are made that can be very beneficial later in life. Choose the wrong gang, and you might not get into the right prep school, the college of your choice, or secret society that you prefer. You could end up at a state school or, even worse, a community college. Remember, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
A good pre-nuptial agreement would have eliminated this foreseeable problem. People just don’t seem to understand that pre-nups are not just for the wealthy. It’s really a shame that none of this couples financial advisers insisted that they get a pre-nup.
This situation is such a shame, and the saddest part is that is could have been avoided.
