Methos, Yes, I was aware that this wasn't about embryonic stem cells. One of the articles said this, so I thought there were restrictions on the use of any stem cells:
"Stem cell research faces not only scientific barriers, but legal and ethical ones as well. Many countries - including the United States and France - have placed very strict limitations on stem cell research, especially when the cells originate from human embryos.
The British government has recently proposed a ban on using artificially created sperm or eggs in human reproduction."
So are you saying that this is not actually the case?
I don't see what the big deal is. If it works, more power to them. If these lesbos don't like men why should they have anything to do with us. Gay couples can adopt kids, why not make them from scratch. It's not a big deal.
I'm saying the article confused the issue. There may well be restrictions on the use of artificially created sperm or eggs in reproduction (in fact, I would hope that that would not be permitted without much more research), but non-embryonic stem cells research is not particularly restricted except in the sense that all medical research is.
