I've gone through the process about 6 times.. Mostly with hamsters, I'm not sure if it is the same but most hamsters begin to eat solid foods a bit after they begin hair growth and their teeth grow in fairly well... Just keep watchin' and be patient... They're fun when they are so small (Though its so nasty when you watch them being born... yuk... lol... eek )

Have fun raising your pet...

thanks for the help I had no idea about guinea pig baby care and it was certainly a shock when my female became pregnant( we thought we had 2 females roll eyes ) I loved watching them being born. Guinea pigs are born fully "haired" with eyes open and the little one was running around the cage in no time.
Thanks again for the help I really do appreciate it big grin

Congratulations! You didn't mention whether you removed the boar. The female will be ready to breed again within 24 hours of giving birth, so you need to take him out. Enjoy the little one. They are so cute.
