I see you're in Fresno! I sure miss listening to the Front Row on KRZR via RealPlayer!
Best of luck homeschooling. My friends in Ohio successfully homeschooled their son. He was able to start community college at 16 and graduated from there at 21. He'll have 2 degrees by the time he's 23! They relied on homeschool groups for social interaction and programs put on by the public library and parks and recreation department.
My kids used to beg me to homeschool them but my friends told them that it would mean they had school 365 days a year and no breaks. That quieted them down! (I was no way capable of holding two jobs and having 2 kids at home all day!) ********************************************************* 02-20-06, 10:34 PM dodgecity im still looking at the kids best options one wants home school the other ones not sure but im sure and ive got the day time so im looking to see whats the best route for the kids. got way to many problem kids at public school and i see that with my girls. thank you for your imputs ive got a lot of research to scan. ya i like krzr as well the kids love it too. ********************************************************* 03-31-06, 12:53 AM RoverRoad Don't forget to look at the cons of home schooling too. It isn't all peaches.
The Pros and Cons of home schooling ********************************************************* 03-31-06, 05:40 AM Sherasi Sagus and I strongly considered home-schooling our kids. After all we are both well-educated well-rounded adults who both teach very well. However, once we recognized the "Special" quality of our sons, there was no question about us doing the home schooling. We simply did not and still do not have the resources to manage two children with needs as intensive as theirs.
I love teaching, and I believe I would have done well with a different set of children, but not these. ********************************************************* 04-26-06, 10:52 PM dodgecity well after much research whew"" im going to let them be for now. but i did find it very interesting. i just dont like what i see in schools now guns drugs and cursing. and here in calif you cant do much for disaplening them i agree some children are better left to the people that are trained for this but ive also seen those that are trained not do a good job,at least from what ive seen. thank you for replies im stiil pondering on it.
