I assume you want to study for an M.A. or an MSc in Geography: you have a lot of choice. First up, you should contact individual universities and ask for a prospectus (they come free of charge). The authorities will tell you what US qualifications are acceptable for admission to the course you choose, how much studying there will cost you, what help they can give you in finding accommodation, and so on. Decide too what type of master's degree course you want to follow (a "taught" course or one where you will work with more limited guidance). I chose this link to Hull University's Geography Department at random. It explains what I'm talking about: http://www.hull.ac.uk/geog/pg_Masters.htmAs well as the type of course you prefer, do some research also into what sort of university you're looking for: a campus-based self-contained university (like Keele say) or a city centre location (like Cardiff). Big or small? Good social life? Cheap beer? Close to rock concert venues? bang in the middle of London or as far away from the capital as possible? There are a couple of very well-known publications in the UK that virtually all first-degree students look at - this one for example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Push-Guide-Which-University/dp/0340929588Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you'll find links to similar works. Although they're devised ideally for first-time students-to-be, they will give you a good idea of the type of univerity you're applying to, especially as I'm assuming you're not totally familiar (yet) with the United Kingdom. Good luck. Good luck!

You are spoilt for choice on this And I agree with Colin Go somewhere that you'll feel at Home . I have a Nephew taking a Masters in Pure Maths yet He's at John Moores in Liverpool Another Friend She Got her Masters in Art also from Liverpool The important thing is that they Get the Degree but unlike years ago A Certificate from only Oxford/Cambridge or a London Univercity was "The one to Have" My sister has a degree from Preston(Linked to Lancaster University) And She Has a Top Job Ditto a Pal in Theatrical Studies So If you find a contact who knows the system You could get the Course at one of these out of town Universities, and it will be less a drain on your expenses and you will see the Real Britain as a Bonus Heres My search results which you can modify
