I have a couple of green silk tree/plants, they are rather large and get dusty quite quickly, they are a pain to dust leaf by leaf. Is there an easy way to clean them or a product that helps repel dust???? Thanks!!!! Smile

The only thing I can think of offhand would be to take a feather or fuzzy duster and riffle through the leaves every couple of days or so to prevent dust from settling.

(Hmm...I wonder if aiming a hair-dryer at the leaves would help to blow the dust off?)

And if you ever find a product that REPELS dust - LET ME KNOW! Big Grin

Tex, I do wipe them every couple of days with a damp cloth, it just is a PAIN, but hey, the hair dryer idea sounds excellent, definitely going to try that! Every once in a while I lean the larger ficus tree over the tub and turn on the shower, then let it drip dry.

Kitty,
There is an artificial plant cleaner on the market. I use it all the time. It's great stuff. It's usually in an aerosol can, sometimes a spray. There are many different brands, and I cannot think of any right now, (of course) but it is sold at your local Walmart, KMart, or greenhouse. It's only a few dollars a can and the best part is that you don't have to drag you trees outside or under the tub. Just spray them down where they are. You may want to place a newspaper on the floor, the spray can be a little slippery once dry.

Here is a website that sells some plant cleaner, but I would suggest searching locally before buying online.
