I'm not sure if this the right category but hopefully someone can help me.
I looked out the window today to check on my kids. They were sitting in the grass digging holes. I went out to tell them to stop and they said they were burying the bugs. When I looked closer I saw these huge swarms or colonies that look like termites.
They are all over the yard. They seem to be eating ants???
They are about the size of a large black ant with wings. The body is a yellowish brown.
I don't want these things eating my house.
Is there any way to get rid of them before they enter my home? (if they haven't already)

I hope someone out there has some advice for me.

I just found out that they are ants with wings. I had only thought that queens had wings but hey, you learn something new every day.
