I NEVER had this problem before, we recently got a new washer, a really nice one!! It seems that almost everytime I wash my light/white clothes they end up with fabric softener stains, I thought maybe I should yse the dispenser on the machine instead of running to it when it went into rinse, then I bought a Downey ball, but no matter how I do it I end up with at least one or two items stained several times a week (I do wash everyday) What could be causing this, I do use the proper water levels too. Mad I can't believe the 28 year old washer worked better than this new one. Confused Roll Eyes

See my post on washer/dryer. I sure wish I had never given up my old washer. Mine must have been as old as yours. The kid whose diapers I bought if for IS turning 28.
Ah, Progress?!

Ooooh emkayess, isn't that just totally sucky? I should have waited til the old one broke down, but I figured since it was ocasionally sticking between cycles that a brand new one would be just lovely, I don't like anything about this new one, like I said I get fabric softener stains, it agitates so hard that the clothes are all turned inside out and wrinkley, if I use powdered detergent I get lillte balls, it takes wayyyyy longer than the old one, grrrr!!!!!! I too have had this problem. My washer, however, is only about eight years old. The only way I've found to prevent this is to try different kinds of fabric softener. Some leave marks, and some don't.

Did you get one of those new "high efficency" models kittypal? If so, you might check the owners manual...that type of machine calls for less detergent, so maybe it calls for less fabric softener too? Confused

When I moved to Oregon last year, we stopped along the way halfway up the state to stay overnight and visit with some friends I hadn't seen in years and years. Gizmo had made a mess in the U-haul requiring us to wash my daughter's jacket while there. I didn't realize my friend had a new-fangles washer, and used a normal cup of laundry soap. OMG! We had to run the washer through three additional rinses just to get all the suds out!!!!!! Big Grin
