OK my daughter put her ficus tree on top of my antique dresser and now there's a cloudy ring where it sat. How do I get rid of this?

Thanks for any help.

Here's what Haley's hints has to say about water rings:
Apply a paste of cooking oil and salt, wait 15 min and wipe off and polish.

Or apply mayonaise, let sit overnight and wipe off and polish.

It also says to apply a small amount of toothpaste and backing soda and rub. Don't know about that one.

I have also heard about using a past of cigarette ashes. I would try the mayo.
Good luck. MKS

Thank you, MKS. Another site suggested Vaseline. I tried that, will see how it looks this morning.
