I have the strangest problem. I came home from a week's vacation and found about 10 caterpillar corpses in my living room. I immediately called the "bug man" and had my house sprayed inside and out. He had no insight and had never seen this before. That was about a week ago, and I've since found 5 more live ones in the house...one had started a cacoon on my daughter's pillow case. I'm having a second spray today.
Does anyone know anything about caterpillars? Why are they in my house instead of eating my plants outside? How would they have gotten in? Noone in my neighborhood has this problem! Please help!

Gather up a few corpses and take them to the ASU entomology department. They will be able to tell you what kind of caterpillars you have and probably also how they got in and how to get rid of them. The kinds of Caterpillars that hang around in Arizona heat must be kind of limited. They may have come in on fruit or veggies you bought, and so may not be indigenous to the Grand Canyon state at all.
You might be able to do this by phone if you can describe the little guys.
