Shortly after I bought a new supply of liquid ultra detergent, my 19-year-old washing machine died. The new one's a front loader and the manufacturer promises all sorts of horrible things if I don't use low-sudsing high efficiency detergent. I found a website that said most ultras are low-sudsing and gave the amounts of powder to use - but no mention of liquid. Can anyone help me find the equivalent amount of liquid I'd need? Thanks.

Hi Cindycat. I have a front loader and I really like it. Take a look at this info. It pretty much tells you to experiment.

front loading washer info

You are looking for High Efficacy Detergents. These detergents will have an "HE" label on them. Tide has an HE liquid that is "Free" of dyes and colors. It is very important that you use the HE detergents... I think once you start looking for the HE label that you'll find them at larger stores.
