Attention to the squeamish.. stop here...

I have a nice pair of Rider Jeans I just bought.. size 10. I thought I was done with my menses but the thick black/brown/red after-discharge soiled my under garments and soaked through my tan/brown trousers in the crotch seam area.

I had to wear them through the night at work. When I got home, I used the oxyclean spray on both sides of the stain (inside and outside the trousers). The stain remains after washing.

We did NOT dry the pants yet.

Are my pants a loss?

I wonder if any of those biological laundry products would help. I admit I haven't used them, just seen them on the shelves. They break down biological substances such as sweat and blood, so it is said. You're right not to try anything until you have a good plan. I hate it when I wreck a favorite piece of clothes. I just managed to salvage a favorite white linen blouse after an almost terminal orange juice stain. In that case, I used an oxygen-type product.

Make a paste with Adolph's meat tenderizer and apply to the stain, let it sit a while, then rinse well with cool water.
Hydrogen peroxide will also lift most sorts of blood based stains nicely, but it's harder to let the peroxide sit.

(ps- NEVER use either of the above treatments on any silk or rayon fabric as it will damage the fabric)

When I worked at the Bistro, I had a heckuva time getting my white shirts clean - fresh ground coffee stains are brutal.

I know you said you used oxyclean spray, but if you put the jeans into the sink with a strong solution of oxyclean POWDER, I'll bet it'll work. I would use about double the normal scoop in warm water, and would stir the clothing around now and then.

Let us know what happens!
