Hi! Smile A friend of mine has a dryer that was given to her by someone else who didn't need it anymore. She told me that she has to use a lot of good-smelling stuff to overpower the smell in the dryer. She says it smells like something died in there. Does anyone have any tips on what to use in the dryer to get that bad smell out?
Thank you! Smile

There are a few things she can try.

1. wipe out the inside with a rag dipped in vinegar.

2. Crumple up newspapers, stuff into the dryer, close the door and let it set a couple of days.

3. place a bowl of clay kitty litter in the dryer (don't turn it on!) and let it set a day or two.

4. replace the vent hose and look way up inside to make sure nothing got in there that shouldn't be.

5. take the side or back off and make sure no little varmints DID die in there. there might even just be mouse poo or something that needs to be cleaned out

6. check the vent opening outside the house for lint buildup (also a fire hazard)
