ive got 2 questions so i thought id post them both in one post.
first: when drying laundry on the line it always comes in 'crunchy'. i refuse to use my dryer in the summer, but drying towels on the line makes them hard and crusty and not nice to use. i use liquid laundry soap and have tried every brand of fabric softner with no luck. any suggestions?
second: my fiancee works a labour job where he has to wear a really lame looking uniform. his collar gets absolutly gross due to the fact that he sweats a lot down his neck and they have to have the buttons on the collar done up to the top. how can i get that grubby black stain off the colar? its even there after i wash.

I dry things on the line too, but not towels. My shirts and things don't get stiff and crunchy, I use Tide and Downey. The ring around the collar is supposed to come off if you use shampoo (a stronger one, for oily hair) the reason behind it is shampoo takes care of body and hair oils. Good luck!

I think clothes get "crunchy" on the line if they are left out too long. Check your clothes often and bring them in when they are dry, but still limp.

As for the black ring on the collar, put some Dawn on it. Dawn cuts grease like nothing else. If that doesn't work, try some Whisk, or, as a last resort, some Cascade. That stuff takes stains out like nothing you've ever seen.
