I use bounty sheets(gain scent) in my car- I put them under the seats. Its cheap, and easy and out of the way. I also put them in my intake on my air conditioner (central of course) I have a 5% filter laying over the hole inside the intake that I lay them on. You could always pin them to the filter so they don't get sucked in if your intake hole is not on the floor of the house.

Put them every where in closets, drawers, under furniture. I love them!

I like to take bars of Irish Spring soap and put them unwrapped around the house. I love the smell.

Another thing that works well is a cup, vase, small bowl, (whatever), of white vinegar. I don't know why but this does absorb odors. This is what was used, way back when, before air fresheners ever came on the market. I can remember my Great Grandmother using this method. And- no- the room will not smell of vinegar...

that would be those lysol and other type air freshners. EVRYONE house has a odor about it however faint it may be to us. Go away for a few days and come back the first smell you smell when you walk back int he door is what others smell when they enter.

I love the fresh smell of gain. "airing out" is not always a possiblity for us who live in the real world of 4 seasons! And for some of us it is just not possible.

BTW you can't "air out" carpet odors. And believe me if i could put them in the wash with a bunch of GAIN detergent I would.
