Any hints on removing coffee stains from oatmeal colored carpet? We had a spill this morning and the Hoover SteamVac didn't get it all up even though I attacked almost immediately. Does that Oxy stuff I see on TV work? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Smile

A 50/50 solution of peroxide and water, saturate the affected area of the carpet, blot with a clean cloth, repeat...Peroxide is great for most non-oily food stains like coffee, wine, jam or juice.

Oxy Clean will make the stain lighter than the rest of the carpet.

I use club soda to get stains out of carpets.

I tried: blotting, vinegar solution, mild dish soap, peroxide, a commercial oxy carpet cleaner as well as our steam vac and it is mostly gone -and maybe if you don't know where to look you just might not notice it. I think the peroxide worked the best. Thanks folks Big Grin

I have spilled coffee on my carpets quite a few times. I use "Woolite" for pets carpet cleaner.
This works great.
