Hi, I am new to this but have recently purchased a beverage called Pom which I spilled on my slacks (white cotton). It was a pomegranite, lychee tea drink. Can anyone tell me how to get the stain out? I have soaked it in cold water but it is not coming out.

I've had good results in removing stains using OxyClean. However, you should wait a bit and see what others say. In any case, keep the slacks wet until you get the stain out.

(By the way, the OxyClean link seems to have a free sample offer.)

And welcome to AnswerPool. I see you solved the posting problem.

I've been having to launder white clothes drenched in "blood" (don't worry, it's for a movie I'm working on) and what I've been doing is first soaking in cold water and then second saturating the red stains with liquid Shout. For the deep set stains I add a little gel Shout on top of that. Then wash in cold water with Tide. So far all the stains have come out which is good because the white shirts and lab coats are used repeatedly. Some of the other cast members who have to get "blood" out of colored clothes have used DG's mentioned OxyClean - also with wonderful results.

P.S. Isn't that Pom juice great? Have you tried the blue berry and pomegranate one yet?

Peroxide works well on protein based stains- Blood, juice, red wine, etc....make a solution of half warm water and half peroxide and soak the stain for a few minutes, rinse with cool/lukewarm water, and keep doing that until the stain is gone.

I have used Shout and I am very pleased with the results. I have tried the spray. My friend uses the gel. She loves it also.
