Does anyone know of a way to treat newspapers so that they won't turn yellow? I have various newspaper articles that I've cut out and I don't want to lose them to discoloration. My friend said that she heard spraying them with hairspray is an effective way. Any tips?

A photo album with the plastic protectors will keep the paper from fading. If thats too bulky, you can buy just the plastic sheet inserts and a 1/2" 3 ring binder at any office supply store. If its a VERY important article, you could laminate it.

My son is 18 years old and I have many articles that I have saved in plastic protectors since he was born. They are in perfect condition. Use common sense and don't put the binders in a damp area. Comic book stores keep VERY valuable comics in plastic. They just store them properly. Its best to preserve something in an enviroment with a constant temperature. Avoid garages, wet basements, attics or anything with drastic temperature changes. If you store your articles properly, they should last a lifetime. I keep my binders in a bookshelf in my desk area. It has worked for me since 1988.
