Hi! I have these sock-bootie things. They are...crotched, maybe and have a faux fur trimming at the top. They were so pretty. They accidentally got put in the dryer, and that pretty fur...now looks like a cotton ball! Does anybody know of any way to make that cotton ball go back to fur, or are they messed-up for life?

Most likely the fur is ruined...but you could try soaking them in a 50/50 solution of water and hair conditioner, then rewashing them, BY HAND. If that doesn't work, because the booties are crochetted, it is very possible that you could remove the old fur, and re-sew in some new without messing them up. Let me know how it works out.
