I have some older bone china tea cups that were my grama's would there be lead in them

Tentatively yes.

Depends on the age, the manufacturer and what was used not only in the china material, but also in the 'ink' or glazing for coloring.

There's a fairly good chance that there is lead in them. Are you actually going to be drinking from these cups everyday? Are you gong to be heating drinks up in them in the microwave? Probably not, right? Then, the risk is that much lower.
