Has anyone got any opinions about the window cleaning products that are hooked up to the garden hose? I don't know the brand names - you just screw the hose on to the bottle of cleaner and blast away. Do these really work? Or must I get out the ladder again this year?

we picked up one of those (and no i dont remember the brand). it seemed to work ok. there were a few streaks, but only noticable if you looked the right way, and it was much easier than wahing by hand. i dont think i will use them again though, i dont like the thought of all those chemicals landing in my flowebeds.
Good point about the flowerbeds - I hadn't thought of that. Since my house is just one level I may just drag out the ladder again. Thanx for the reply! :~)

Instead of a ladder, why not invest in a long handled squeegee? You know what they offer in the dirty water at car stations to wash your car windows? They have a sponge on one side and a strip of rubber on the other.
The sponge holds the cleaning solution and allows you to wash the window, the rubber lets you wipe the water off -
Might be easier than getting out the bottle windex, paper towels and then climbing up a ladder and juggling it all.
