I have this school jacket and it has orange rings arround the cuff links of both arms, arround the neck and bottom part of the jacket. The orange color is starting to fade away. How can I bring the bright orange color back with out ruining my jacket? Use some "color safe" bleech or something? Help.

It's been my knowledge that once a color fades there is no re-viving it short of re-dyeing. Color safe bleaches and detergents are best used from the very beginning to help lessen the fading process. And remember to wash colors in cold water to help prevent fading. Hindsight is 20/20...sorry I have no quick fix solutions for you.

Another idea to try from the beginning is to wash new clothes, before wearing in cold water with a cup of vinegar. This helps set the colors.
