Can anyone tell me how to clean my iron? I need to iron a white shirt and my iron has build up on it. Thanks smile

I know you can buy a cleaning kit for irons [saw it on Martha Stewart once] but I have yet to find it. Try steel wool. Then iron an old piece of cloth to rub off the gunk.

Twinhearts...go to a larger grocery store, WalMart, KMart, Target or the like...

Near the fabric finishers & spray starches, you should find an assortment of iron cleaners. I haven't had to use one in years, but the last one I used came in a tube. All I had to do was put this paste on a cotton rag and wipe it over the bottom of a warm iron...It was amazing for taking the buildup off!

One hint I can think of, is that when I see these nowadays, they're usually on the top shelf.
