We're tired of renting cleaners or hiring it out and are going to purchase a cleaner. Does anyone have any that they like -or- hate? We're currently leaning toward one of the Hoover 12A, 5 brush models. We have no stairs so that's not a consideration and although attachments might come in handy for the cars, etc. thay are not a must.

We opted for a Hoover we got on sale at Sears. It did a relly good job on it's maiden usage and sucked up more water than the rentals resulting in a shorter drying time.

I have had on of those Hoovers for over 3 years, and they work super....Between the store and 3 dogs at home, it gets one good workout...
Stopped in at the Sal Army this morn and they had one there that looks like it had only been used once...so I brought it for a spare...Do you think that $20 was too much ? (he he he)... What a bargin....
One think, I would suggerst....After shampooing, go over it again with plain water with a dash of fab softner in it....gets all the soap out of it and will stay cleaner longer....
