My doctor has put me on a "bland" diet because I have an inflamed stomach (not an ulcer but it could become one if I'm not careful).

All my favourite foods (and food flavourings) are out of the window - I can't have tomatoes, onion, garlic, spices, chilli, anything acidic, irritating or fatty.

I am soooo bored of plain boiled rice, plain couscous, mashed potato, boiled potato, plain pasta, plain grilled chicken, plain white fish, porridge, omlette etc.

I thought I'd try and make something else, but I can't find any recipes that don't contain any of the evil ingredients I'm not allowed.

Please, if you can think of anything I'm not already doing, or have a great recipe, let me know - I'm desperate.

Try broiling, baking, or grilling white fish with some spray-on margarine and dill weed. You will probably need to put a lot of dill on it.
