My mother cannot have Chocolate,and the closest thing that comes to it is Carob.I've tried using carob chips from the health food store in my chocolate-chip cookie recipe,but they burn before they melt like normal chips! does anyone know how I can make my own carob chips/chunks for the cookies? like the ratio of white chocolate chips VS Carob powder? Any other Carob recipes besides Frosting,Cake,Or brownies would be appriciated also.^^

Have you tried any of the no-bake carob cookies recipes? Something else to try is melting the carob in a double boiler, and pouring it over just baked cookies. You may have to wait until the cookies cool a bit. You could also use vanilla wafers that you purchased for this. It seems that you could also pour the melted carob over strawberries, too. I've seen it over peanuts and pretzels in stores.

Now you have me wondering...a marshmallow dipped in melted carob and put in the fridge or freezer????

I would try to freeze some peanut butter (in a stick or a pretzel, then dip it in melted carob.

Rasins could also be dipped in carob, as could any number of fruits. Form shredded cocoanut into balls, and dip.
