I thought of this while I was typing out my last topic-starter, hopefully you guys will be able to relate to me.
I've probably said this before, but it's worth saying again. I'm a firm believer that music is an awesome way to share God's word with others.
I've witnessed people turn to Him after hearing some of this contemporary Christian music--I shared Relient K and Newsboys with a friend and she's starting to ask questions about faith and God, and now she attends Campus Christian Fellowship at her college.
Another friend of mine seemingly has her mind made up regarding the Lord, after visiting youth group with me and leaving in a big storm cloud of harsh words, I figured that there wasn't much more to do than pray for her. I always listen to Christian CDs or radio in my car, whenever she'd ride with me, she'd always make these exasperated noises or body language expressing dislike or discontempt. She'd make comments about Jesus or the Bible in an attempt to get me to defend myself so that she could start an argument. One morning, we were driving to the store, and I had Jeremy Camp (such a great artist with such an inspiring story--if you want to know about him I'll tell but that's not the point I'm trying to make now) playing in my car. All of his songs have a very prevalent message to them. She was totally silent, just listening to the words, and said, "Don't be surprised if this CD turns up missing... I want to steal it and burn it." And knowing her and her dislike for "my" music, I said, "You mean burn as in destroy?" And she replied, "No, burn as in make a copy of...This is so awesome."
Have any of you also witnessed the power of God's word through music? Music is such an effective form of ministry.

One of my best friends, Rita, sings lead in her family's gospel group. When she starts singing the church really gets pumped up. You can even see the energy in the minister when he comes out after they perform.
