Saturday I went up to Salem and saw the Newsboys in concert for the first time. They put on an absolutely spectacular show. If you live near one of their next destinations, I'd definitely recommend going. There were people of all ages, races, financial backgrounds, but they all had one thing in common.
I was sitting only three rows back from the stage, and it was practically like I was up on stage with them!
I didn't really care for most of the opening acts--ZOEgirl, Superchic[k]--because they just weren't my style. However, I LOVED By The Tree. They're a newer band out of Ft. Worth, and they were a lot of fun. I hope you guys check them out--I had to buy their CD once I heard them.

I'm anxiously awaiting the Newsboys' return to Oregon, however the last time they were here was about two years ago.
I'm also looking forward to seeing Relient K in April--I've never seen them before (I'm new to Christian rock--actually I'm new to Christianity in general) but I heard that their shows are somewhat like their music--upbeat, happy, fun, and energetic.

I would've loved to see The NewsBoys! They Rock! (although I don't really care for their um...is it Love Liberty & Disco, album? I purchased it right after it came out and ended up giving it my dad. He liked it more than I did.)
I've seen Carman 3-4x, but the last concert I went to was several years ago. It was when Newsong came with Michael O'Brian and Sierra. I thought that one was awesome!
I would LOVE to go see Michael W. Smith He's been here in Oregon many many times but I always seem to have to work
I've seen Margaret Becker, Susan Ashton & Christine & Scott Dente of Out of the Gray once, several years ago. But I couldn't go to the concert. I went to the signing party afterwords.

I've seen Relient K once, I love them to death, but seeing them was not the most pleasant experience for me because there were a few JERKS up front that decided they wanted to mosh...Let's just say that I got a LOT closer to a LOT of people than I EVER want to again(Especially in 100 degree weather in the rain!)...

Esencia, the Newsboys will be back in Portland in early April. I'll definitely be there. I didn't think that they'd be back in Oregon because the last time they were here was a couple years ago.
