I didn't know that she was a singer as well as an actress! Is her music good? I would love to hear some of it. I love her movies. She's a great actress.
I like her music, but some people think I have odd taste.
I heard it before she really got into acting. Soon after "Divine Comedy" came out, her modeling career really took off, and then her acting career took off too. Probably because of that, she hasn't put out anything else as far as I can tell. "Peopletree Sessions" is apparently a remastered version of something she recorded straight to a computer years ago.
To answer my own question ... apparently she has two versions of a song called "Satellite of Love" on the Soundtrack to "The Million Dollar Hotel." She also used to be the singer/lead guitarist for "Plastic Has Memory," which, as far as i can tell, doesn't have any commercial albums but did record a song called "On the Hill" for the benefit album "Hollywood goes Wild." She was also part of the "We are Family" Red Cross benefit recording. A few of her songs from "The Divine Comedy" appear on various soundtracks and compilations, most recently "The Gentleman Who Fell" on the "Rules of Attraction" soundtrack.
I have a CD I purchased some years ago intitled 'Loaded volume 1' It has her song 'The Gentleman who fell' It is a very good song. She does indeed have a beautiful voice.
I believe there are two versions of that song. The one I have is more mellow with a piano. But I have heard a more upbeat version.
I don't recall hearing any of her other songs but then again I probably have and didn't know it was her.

Yes - There are two versions of that song. I've only heard one(which is on "Divine Comedy"), however (not the one you have). "The Gentleman Who Fell" seems to be her most widely released song. "Bang Your Head," which is probably my favorite, seems to be the second most released and is the only one I can remember ever hearing on the radio.
i have read on a few sites that she does the vocal for 'little light of love' off the fifth element soundtrack (the remix thats played during the credits). im not sure if this is right though, as i can find no official sources for it. anyone know?
The woman is Nourith. The man is Eric Serra (he is also the composer for the movie). He has composed several movie scores and at least one other album, called Rxra. She apparently sings several songs on that album (I haven't heard it). She also apparently has a couple albums of her own.
best ive been able to dig up is 2 albums, divine comedy and peopletree sessions.
i really liked the song 'its your life', the rest of the songs didnt really catch my interest. i am failry critical of female singers, as a result, havent really found many that i truly enjoy listening to. the music i like, just not her singing in most of the songs.
