I heard a song on the radio this morning, and I want to find the lyrics. The song is in Spanish and is sung in a style that reminds me of Shirley Temple. I think it is a woman singing, but she sings like a little girl. I only heard the end, but it talked about being in a land filled with yummy things (chocolate, caramel, etc.). She travels around trying to eat everything but is stopped because she carries a knife (I think it was to eat with), and then she remarks, "The country is doing so well because they take very good care of themselves, because if they don't, people will eat up the country."
A google search for the lyrics that I remember has come up empty, but since I only heard the song once and in my second language, it's possible that I remember the lyrics incorrectly. Does anyone know what song this is? Where can I find the lyrics?

No, it's definitely not in the style of Duele el Amor. It was soft and light, not like a ballad, but like a Shirley Temple song - like a children's song, but I suspect (although, having only heard the end, I'm not sure) it's satire. I heard it on a station in Mexico (which is where I live). I've asked people around here and no one else has heard it. Maybe it's brand new. Or maybe it's really old. I think it sounds like a new song trying to sound old.

I think I know what you mean in describing the style that it sounds like. Hmm, does the music sound Hispanic, or is it just sung in Spanish? Oh and I've been looking up a mix of the lyrics as much as I can and searching what I think would most likely show, but I'm not seeing anything there yet. So I'll keep an eye out. I've been listening to Mexican radio throughout the day, too.

Of course. You missed a few of my questions, by the way. Like does the music sound of Hispanic influence or only the lyrics? Is it more of an electronic sounding beat for the background or is it an instrumental background?

Unfortunately, now that it's been a day, I don't remember exactly how it sounded. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by Hispanic influence, but it didn't have any particularly unusual Latin rhythms or anything like that (that I can remember, anyway) - I think it could have just as easily been a French or English song, in terms of musical style. I think it had an instrumental background. Think Golden Age of Cinema.
