Recently here in North Carolina, the phone company has expanded the 3 digit phone numbers to include;

2.1.1. - Local (United Way) information line
4.1.1. - Directory assistance
8.1.1. - Police, non-emergency number
9.1.1. - Police, emergency number

Have other parts of the USA started using these numbers, and are there plans for 3.1.1, 5.1.1., 6.1.1., and 7.1.1.?

im positive that 411 and 911 are the same here in ct
and i just called 211 and got some info line so that could be the same too,
dont want to call 811, but that might be the same

i know that 611 is a help line if you are callling from a cell phone
-that is standard everywhere in the US.

711 may be for tty machines for the deaf.

check online
at your state website or the us website,
ill keep looking

just adding some stuff now,
611 is the line to the telephone repair line here.

i dont think that 211, 511, 611, 811 have officially been assigned by the FCC. i think it may vary by state.

here it is:

Service codes, commonly called N11 codes because of their format, are used to provide three-digit dialing access special services.
In the U.S., the FCC administers N11 codes, and recognizes only 211, 311, 511, and 711 as nationally assigned. Other codes have traditional uses as shown in the table below.

N11 CODE DESCRIPTION:

211 Community Information and Referral Services (US)

311 Non-Emergency Police and Other Governmental Services (US)

411 Local Directory Assistance

511 Traffic and Transportation Information (US); Reserved (Canada)

611 Repair Service

711 Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS)

811 Business Office

911 Emergency
