I will be visiting Paris, France this summer with my mother and a number of her students. I was wondering if anyone knew of any pagan sites I should take in while I’m there. Currently, I’m reading “Witchcraft for Tomorrow” by Doreen Valiente and she mentions the ‘altar to Pan,’ discovered beneath the Cathedral de Norte Dame site and now housed in the Musee de Cluny, and it got me thinking that there are probably a bunch of things in Paris that I ought to see.
Does anyone know of anything, or any sites or guidebooks that might help me? I mean, they don’t have a “pagan’s walking tour of Paris,” ...do they?

I went to Paris a couple of years ago and our guide pointed out this very interesting attraction. We didn't go in but it sounds like the type of thing you want to see.

Perhaps you need to buy a visitors guide to the city. 'Insight' do a good range of guidebooks as do 'Dorling Kindersly'. I recommend the latter, more pictures and maps etc, more user friendly for ordinary people.

Actually, I have been to Paris a number of times, just never with an eye on the pagan aspects. I have visited the catacombs several times as well, but thank you for the idea. The bones there are actually victims of religious persecutions, for the most part, but are mainly Catholics and Protestants. But thanks for the thought.
I don't know how much good a guidebook is going to do, though, unless -as I said- there is a pagan-centered one that I don't know about. I'm familiar with Paris as a whole, just not with any pagan bits there might be to see...
