How often do you fly somewhere and Not know what transport is available outside the Terminal? How far to the Nearest town or Railway station(or the cost of the fare?)

Well this site may not cover 100% of the local terminals.Major Airports are 99% covered Worldwide Smile List is a few Thou Long Eek
They are adding and amending all the time and the Info is not far out of date Wink
So you can walk off the plane with this info and get the right connection with little Fuss at almost any airport.(Has all the Main contact numbers listed too.) Cool

Looks a super site for local transport to city centres. Thanks - I've bookmarked it for future reference.
A word of warning, however. Be extremely wary about car hire. The links I've followed seem overpriced compared to the cheapest available deals at airport locations. For examùple, I'm flying to Newcastle-upon-Tyne tomorrow morning (Saturday 18 November) and the price I've got for a three day hire there is 60% of the cheapest quote on this site. It's always the ame with car hire of course - it's a minefield, so be careful. As far as a quick perusal can judge though, the public tranport details are excellent and I shall certainly be coming back to this site again. Thanks bedstor.

The car I got was a 1.9 litre Volkswagen Golf Plus that had done 10,050 mIles. No problems at all, and it cost less than 65 euros for three full days, all in. The company I used was National (Citer). Go for it - or at least check out their prices. I'd be interested too to hear of other car hire prices people have paid around the globe...

Car hire is indeed a 'minefield'. What gets me is that the same company charges different rates according to where its central booking thinks you are booking from. This particular feature meant that I hired a car from Liverpool Airport using Avis France online because the same car was far cheaper hired through France than through the UK Avis online. The difference was extraordinary. The only difference ought to have been that I answered any question about which country I was in by putting France rather than UK.This probably works if you enter some other countries. The computer is unlikely to 'know' where you are, in fact at the time you book.

And a discount loyalty card may be of no benefit too. Last time I tried it was far cheaper to take the Easyjet/ Europcar link when booking the flight to Nice than using the Avis card 'discount' rate offered. That said, Avis with discount has been cheaper than these online firms that offer carhire and is always more convenient than playing around with vouchers and printouts.

The other 'fun' is over fuel. Avis in Britain once hit upon the idea of giving you a car without a full tank and saying 'just bring it back with the gauge at the same level'. Imagine how easy it was to refill to the same mark. Roll Eyes
