An estuary is the wide part of a river where its current meet the tides of the sea. It is also includes the arm of the sea where it enters at a coast to meet a river. The world largest estuary is where the Rio Parana and the Rio Uruguay meet at the head of the Rio de la Plata to enter the Atlantic Ocean in South America.
