about England in a magazine I have a subscription to called Maclean's-on the front of the magazine it says with the Queen's picture:
The Queen's once proud subjects now lead Europe in illiteracy, unemployment, teen pregnancy, divorce, drug use, obesity, alcoholism, crime and STD's"
I am sure if you want to read more just google the name- Maclean's magazine- and you can read it online as well
Is this a trend for magazines? To sensationalize a country's problems, in order to sell more as I think one could say this about North America as well!
