How do I find the coordinates of where I live (near Sacramento)?

I would rather know how to find them than what they are so I can do this for other places too. I can only get a general idea from large Atlases.

Go to topozone.com. Put in your city or town and when the map comes up click the D/M/S or DD.DDD function just under the map. Put your cursor on the exact postion you are interested in. At the very left-hand bottom of your screen (not the page itself), just above "Start," there is a message that says "Cursor is:" and then lists the geographic coordinates.

Folsom is 38.678ºN Latitude 121.175ºW Longitude; thank you very much.

Now, if you know where my daughter really went tonight, I would like to locate her too!
