Kalena, try Encarta (http://encarta.msn.com/) or InfoPlease (http://infoplease.com/). You'll have to search for the topics in World History you need to research, but these sites have large databases of information.
This may sound flippant, but you're not going to find any place that holds all the world's history. That's a lot of history! There is also a danger in relying on one source because it is only one point of view. I'd suggest that you make searches on a tool like google or altavista or yahoo or askjeeves using keywords of topics you are interested in and then take a look at those sites returned from the search.
