Consider that the oldest of them would have been only about 8 years old when the war ended. Probably they were simply lost in the mass of kids left orphaned by the war.

David, it is so strange that you would ask this question, at this moment. Yesterday, just out of curiousity, I started searching Holocaust websites. I have always been interested in reading survivor stories, (I read my first account of the Holocaust horrors when I was in 5th grade, and it wasn't Anne Franke). Is this the group of children you are referring to?
