A starting point for Arthur is a useful summary of the 'history' and the sources on the BBC history website: www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/arthur_01.shtml Don't dislocate your tongue attempting to pronounce the Welsh names and words For example Arthur's son Arwr is AH-roo-URR (and that's an easy one)! Arminius, on the other hand, was very much alive and various historic battles involved him , in contrast to Arthur's supposed involvement in just one identifiable one. He is attested to by classical historians from early on. A good summary, with references, can be found on wikipedia.org ( but I can't get the page to load !)but Google produced several other good sites just for Arminius roman [This message was edited by FredPuli on 01-08-04 at 06:57 PM.] [This message was edited by FredPuli on 01-08-04 at 07:03 PM.]
