Today, October 23rd, is the twentieth anniverary of a bombing in Beirut. A suicide bomber killed 241 US military personnel, when he drove a truck loaded with 2000lbs of explosive into their compound.
What happened about that? This was a force there for peacekeeping. Did the Reagan administration launch some kind of retribution? It was an act by Islamic Jihad.
How is it that we don't hear of terrorism in Lebanon so much now?
Interesting .Thanks Mozart.It seems that then as now Lebanon has been a base for such activity but the terrorism is very much directed towards Israel and the troubles of that country and Palestine.
