The Columbian Exchange was coined to describe the integration of "Old World" (Afro-Eurasian Afro-Eurasian landmasses)and the "New World" (The Americas) peoples after the arrival Christoper Columbus in 1492. Columbus 1492 Exploration differed from the other American contacts with the outside world in terms of overall impact. The integration of people on both sides of the Atlantic had enormous environmental impact. The 1492 contact had broad implication,it introduced old world disease to the Native Americans, who had no immunities to the common germs and brought new cash crops, such as Maize,Manioc and the Potato to old world cuisine.
