Creating a company logo is easy. You want it simple in design, easily recognizable and representative of what you do. You could consign an artist or advertising agency to come up with a concept for you or to design it yourself. You could even enlist the help of a few kids to come up with a design. They usually have a simpler view of things, avoiding the complicated designs as more experienced people would do.
Once you have a logo that stands out, the next step is to make new business cards with the new logo printed on it. Send these out to your customers with a letter of "re-introduction". This will include your appreciation for their business, your ambitions for their future business, your new address and so forth.
Don't forget to update your advertisement in your local yellow pages too!
If costs and inclinations permit, you can always incorporate the logo on uniforms and give-aways such as pencils/pens, hats, stickers, magnets or any other items conducive to your clientele.
Above all, you want your logo/name to be well-known and as easily recognized by your clients and prospective clients as the golden arches of McDonald's.
Good luck!
