I am interested in doing some part time retailing. The formal stuff aside (ie, establishing business, tax id, etc.), how do i go about purchasing DVD's from distributors? I am eyeing the bigger names, such as Universal, Warner Brothers, etc, but I have not been able to find any distribution info on their sites. I basically want to buy them at a slighly reduced cost and sell them for profit.
Any and all advice is welcomed. Thanks in advance!

The big companies only deal with, major distibutors,They in turn kick them out to,trade wholesalers who in turn sell out to shops and retailers who then sell on to the public..
You will have to search the internet and trade magazines until you find a good dealer. ( that will not be easy ) Generally dealers / retailers will not give out that information after all would you help a competitor.
Most dealers are absolute rubbish both in Quality and service, Invariably if you buy from such people you are bound to end up with stock that will not sell.
You will have to buy in bulk, probaly a box full at a time, and you will need to sell quick to make your money before they go out of fashion.
You could start by approaching the trade and buying at discount, Initially your profits would be small, But it would get you in the door and from there keep your eyes open and see where there coming from then approach direct.
If it were that easy everyone would be doing it.
Good luck
