Does anyone have any good information on Lungworms and Heartworms in cats? After spending a couple days on the web trying to find out what might be wrong with my newly adopted kitten - Im now beginning to think it might be one if not both of the named worms. He is having long coughing fits and is sneezing but has no eye nor nasal discharge. He is still eating and drinking pretty good but seems to be getting a little lethargic. I plan to take a stool sample to the vet today but from what I read both worms can be hard to detect. Please, does anone know anything about these worms?? Thank You,
Sharon

Oh gosh, Sharon, I certainly hope that your new kitty is OK!

Take a look here to see if it's helpful.

Thank You Tree - He is still coughing and sneezing a lot but in the last week he has perked up, is a lot more active and is finally gaining weight. I called the vet back and they said unless he gets worse to hold on a couple weeks to see if it clears up on its own. If it doesn't to bring him back in and have x-rays taken. Hopefully it goes away on its own soon.

Thanks Again - Sharon
