We have a 12-year-old cat with skin cancer on her nose. She's also hyperthyroid. Probably been this way for awhile but our long-time vet didn't detect it. Our new vet uses traditional and alternative treatments. He recommended a powder and some ointment to boost her immune system. The two things total $104 a month (best price I've found). He also recommended raw natural food that comes frozen in small chunks. Also very expensive. I'd like to hear from someone who has experience with this type of holistic medicine. I'm sorry your kitty is having health problems. I can't comment about the medicines but when my beloved and deeply missed Mr. Whittens had some issues, his vet had me restrict his diet to poached diced boneless chicken and he did very well with that... we eventually figured out that my baby was intolorant of wheat , you might ask your vet if that's an option, or seek out a "low allergen/sensitive stomach" formula.. Hill's Prescription Diet makes a good one, Mr. Whittens' health improved dramatically on that recipe and he remained healthy another 6-7 years. This spring, his 15th, when Mister could no longer deal with solids, he enjoyed organic baby food.... probably bought me an extra month with my baby boy.

I'm sorry to hear about the problems your cat is having. I know a number of people who feed a BARF (Bones and Raw Food) diet to their dogs and they are very happy with it. I don't know anyone who has fed it to their cat, so unfortunately I can't tell you if it works for them.
